Control status of screw extruder

The temperature control system of the screw extruder in the middle and low end of China generally adopts the separation instrument control scheme, and the heating mode is the electric heating zone heating. According to the requirements of processing technology, each zone is set to different heating temperature. The temperature control mode adopts the mode of temperature control meter plus SCR, and the cooling is divided into fan cooling or water cooling. This control scheme has the advantage of low price, but it is limited in control function. The main disadvantages are as follows:


(1) , control the material barrel, head and other parts separately, the whole system can not implement the function of comprehensive control, and can not coordinate the feed speed, cooling water temperature and temperature changes between temperature zones. As a result, the temperature fluctuation in each heating zone greatly affects the processing quality of plastic products.


(2) It is not convenient for the production analysis and management of extruder, and it is not suitable for the increasingly high performance requirements of modern polymer processing.


(3) . even if the extruder control mode with touch screen and small PLC connected with multi loop temperature control module is adopted, due to the large amount of data that the extruder needs to monitor, the large data load of communication, and the interference of high-power frequency converter, the performance, reliability and other indicators of the machine often fail to meet the customer's requirements.


(4) On the one hand, the temperature control circuit structure is complex, and the failure rate is increased; on the other hand, the volume of the electric control cabinet is increased, independent control cabinet needs to be arranged, expensive temperature compensation wire needs to be added, and the cost of manual construction and materials is increased.
